In March 2008 the Department of Real Estate mandated that continuing education course final exams must be in three 15 hour segments each three days apart. We have permission to provide the following:

At the end of your first 4 years as a real estate sales/agent (15 hours total requirement)
Available three days after registration:
  1. Real Estate Ethics (3 hours)
  2. Real Estate Agency (3 hours)
  3. Fair Housing (3 hours)
  4. Trust Fund Handling (3 hours)
  5. Risk Management (3 hours)
Total (15 hours)

Total $39.50

Every first 4 year broker course and all broker and agent courses following the 8th year of practice have a 45 hours total requirement.
  1. Real Estate Ethics (3 hours)
  2. Real Estate Agency (3 hours)
  3. Fair Housing (3 hours)
  4. Trust Fund Handling (3 hours)
  5. Risk Management (3 hours)
  6. Real Estate Financing (30 hours)
Total (45 hours) Price: $49.50 with borrowed textbooks.

You may purchase textbooks at the Lumbleau Real Estate School site or you may borrow textbooks from each member’s lending library.

Under the new law ALL OTHER continuing education candidates must take the same 5 courses and then on, or after, the sixth day following registration take:

Real Estate Financing (30 hours of Consumer Protection)
In 2009 with the housing market in total disarray and with a future recession/depression not experienced since the “Great Depression” of the 1930’s in full swing with a forecast of one to four years of unsettled economies worldwide, an understanding of real estate financing is not only required but is one of the most valuable areas of education needed to survive and thrive.

To that end the Lumbleau Real Estate School has chosen Walt Huber’s Educational Textbook Company’s textbook “Real Estate Financing” for a 30 hour consumer protection course.

The final exam, to comply with the February 29th 2008 Department of Real Estate Law requiring no more than 15 hours of final exams on any one day, has been approved to be given as follows:
(a) The first 35 question part is taken the first day (the first 7 chapters) (b) The second 30 question part is taken anytime after midnight on the 2nd. Day.
The total 65 questions are then used to determine if a grade of 70% or better has been achieved All 45 hours of continuing education:
